WHAT WOE

Have you ever been beside yourself, even
Berserk—because some jerk offends—and
Unable to comfort or cure the sharp injustice?

There are no amends made for the ignorant
Assume-accuse-attack by such pieces of work,
Yet, I do believe in a comes-around-goes, indeed.

Not eye-for-eye, no, but what cuts the cutter,
What doubly injures, what with and where, for
If my love, my heart, my soul—than theirs, woe.
