Away and Anew

Spring Scattering Stars Edwin Blashfield

On stepping out—up—away
At the center of your universe,
Far from flat, the already mapped

Below, all that stoppered,
All that you knew, but didn’t,
So long behind, no fear ahead.

A portal passkey, an opening,
Just go through, you’re the star
Among stars, come and shine along.

On flying in—sighted—anew
By worlds joined, by moons met,
Out of the mist, the belletrist best of you.
