Castles in the Air Kwatsu

Fugitive Foundation

I feel a new floor plan
Sliding under me,
My feet absorbing a milky blue,
Filling up to my ankles, calves, knees—
I’m rising up,
Along with frames and beams,
Doors, columns,
Spinning staircases…

And it feels so good
To be sheltered
And it feels so good
To be comforted
And it feels so good
To be home

I see cool marble
Slipping past me,
My heels sinking into cushy carpet,
Uprising upholstery against my thighs—
I’m reclining back,
Holding out arms and hands,
Radiating rainbows across ceilings, walls,
Wishing windows…

And it looks so fine
Harboring haven
And it looks so fine
Creating energy
And it looks so fine
Divining sanctuary

I touch thought bubbles
Rising above me,
My memories in oils hanging around,
Growing ghosts, posey, spells—head, heart, hearth—
I’m floating room to room,
Passing airborne cats and faery,
Flying through angels, ancestors,
Prophetic phenomena…

And it seems so true
Elusive safety
And it seems so true
Fleeting security
And it seems so true
Ephemeral eternity
